Hair: How to do soft waves every day

Easy to style and a great way to make the hair look luxe, the beauty of soft wavy hair is that you don’t have to be too precise in the styling. Here’s how to work this trend into the everyday.

The prep

Start by working a small amount of mousse through towel-dried hair and then ‘tousle dry’ which means roughly blow-drying the hair with your fingers. Next, spray dry shampoo into the roots and ends of the hair. This will help to create volume and texture.

Finishing touches

After curling, run your fingers through the curls to separate, and slowly brush out the hair from the front with a paddle brush. This will create soft, glossy waves. Finish with a spritz of shine spray to leave hair super glossy.

The right tools

If you want the best curl, choose the right tool for the job. For this look, a large barrel curling tong will work best. Split hair into three sections and starting with the bottom section, curl small sections of the hair away from the face using the curling tong. Just before you curl the top layer, comb to smooth out the hair.
