The Santoku knife is renowned as the Asian counterpart to the European chef’s knife, but differs in being lighter-weight, shorter and curving down towards the tip. The Nordic kitchen Santoku knife is an all-rounder designed for precise, rapid cutting strokes. The ideal choice for chopping, slicing, cutting and precision work. The blade is forged from 67 layers of Damascus steel (10Cr15CoMoV). The complex manufacturing method results in an exquisitely patterned blade offering an outstanding combination of strength, flexibility and durability. The blade hardness rating is an impressive HRC 60 ±2 to ensure long-lasting sharpness and minimal maintenance. The pakka wood shaft sits stably and comfortably in the hand, while the protective quillon doubles as a natural thumb-rest.
