Loss of hearing can occur with sounds as low as 85 dB. The maximum usage duration without a break should not exceed 90 minutes and in total, the hearing protection should not be worn for longer than 3 hours a day. Earmuffs and especially the sealing pads can wear out with use and should therefore be checked frequently for signs of, for example, cracks and leaks. Encasing the ear seals with „a hygienic covering“ can effect the acoustic performance of the capsule ear protection. The durability of the pillows is about 3-5 years.
