The HARI pin is a tool used in Japanese floral art to hold flowers and branches in place in a vase or flower arrangement. This art is known as Ikebana and describes the art of flower arranging. The plant stems are placed on small copper spikes and held in place by a heavy weight at the base of the stem. The fitted HARI flower frog can then be placed in a vase or bowl to create a stylish display. HARI is Japanese and not only means needles, but also describes the short form for hedgehog, which is reminiscent of the shape of the little helpers.
