The first hand tailored collection was created while Elin was working as a stylist during her studies at Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.) in New York City with a vision to bring out the wearers inner beauty and the opportunity to fully express their personality and femininity. Founded in New York in 2000 by Carin Rodebjer who set out with a philosophy rooted in femininist and environmental values Rodebjer makes fashion with wit, heart, and conscience.
Copenhagen-based REMAIN was founded in 2018 by CEO and Creative Director, Denise Christensen. Drawing influence from her own life, the design DNA is rooted in an irreverent approach to style where sleek core pieces form the basis for a versatile, bold, and straightforward wardrobe for every day.
She wanted to disrupt the Scandinavian design aesthetic that had for decades been synonymous with minimalist design with a muted palette. Her playful silhouettes and bright colour palette attract loyal followers and drawing inspiration from the design and art worlds, each collection is built on a strong foundation of flattering cuts, simple yet quality fabrics and bespoke hand-drawn prints by the brands in-house team.
