It was the familiar form from Sestig's "Pleasure Dôme" that formed the basic shape for this line of stackable plates and dishes. For the names of this collection and the individual items, Sestig was inspired by song titles of pop legend David Bowie."When I heard the song ‘Ashes to Ashes’ in the car, the name ‘Dishes to Dishes’ came to mind. All the more so because I think the low basic form of the scales is reminiscent of a galactic shape and I heard the lyrics ‘I'm happy, hope you're happy too’." The ideal slogan representing Sestig's luxurious galaxy.
