Immersed within the suffocating heat of the summer, Mujer y Calor 02 by Mexican artist Berenice Hernandez highlights the connection between the human form and the local environment. A single female figure demonstrates how we change our body language and position when confronted with extreme conditions – the composition cooled through a palette of deep blue and earthy beige. Combining linoleum engraving with digital techniques, texture and form are combined within this striking composition.
