Bathroom stories 01 by vienna based artist and illustrator ana popescu feature a fictional acrylic painted environment full of exaggerated colours and a distorted use of perspective. set within a terrazzo covered room if shades of green, two seemingly carpeted areas of pink and red break up the monotone environment. popescu’s use of architectural lines, light, shade and mottled surfaces transforms a seemingly simple setting into something more complex, with detail becoming apparent on closer inspection.
