Established in 1922 by Ida Cohen Rosenthal and her husband, they sold Charleston dresses demanding a flat-chested look - achieved with an uncomfortable 'bandeaux'. As Ida disliked the way their dresses fit women with flat chests, she designed a new lingerie to support and accentuate the woman's natural figure: two 'cups' with shoulder straps and a ribbon fastened in the back.
