The sharp blade of the Damascus by Hâws Bread knife is made of 67 layers of Damascus steel, providing you with the ultimate cutting experience. The knife handle is designed to fit perfectly in your hand, allowing you to use the knife for extended periods without discomfort. Additionally, the handle is made of G10 composite. Damascus steel is known for its beautiful pattern, created through a unique forging method where multiple layers of steel are fused together to form its distinctive structure. But it’s not just the pattern that makes Damascus knives so unique. On the HRC scale, a regular kitchen knife has a hardness of 50–55, while Damascus knives have an HRC of 59–60, which is a very high value. A high HRC indicates excellent steel quality and durability. The better the steel quality, the longer your knife will last.
