How to hang posters?

When it comes to hanging posters, there are a few rules that play a key part in making the whole ensemble harmonious. Firstly, the poster should be hung at eye level. However, this is not always an easy task, as we humans are not the same length. That is why it is usually recommended to measure that the middle of the poster is about 145cm from the floor – also known as the gallery height. If you are going to hang the poster over a couch or drawer, there should be about 10cm of free space between the bottom of the frame and the furniture. Width-wise, the poster(s) should cover about 2/3 of the width of the furniture. If you have two or more posters together, they should be hung close together; there should be no more than a 10cm gap between the frames. A gallery wall looks nonchalant when you make sure the individual posters are hung in line with each other. You can choose to align the bottom edges of the frames or the centres of the posters, for instance.
