- Warning: Allow the pot to cool completely before cleaning to avoid cracking the enamel. Clean with warm water and a soft sponge with mild dish soap. Avoid metal scourers. If food sticks, fill with warm soapy water and let it soak for 15–20 minutes, or bring water with a little baking soda to a boil to loosen residue. Dry thoroughly after cleaning to prevent rust on uncoated edges. Note: Enamelled cast iron pots have no non-stick coating – food may stick and contribute to deeper flavour and character.
