Polyester and other synthetics shed microplastics when washed, so we recommend a washing bag to protect all fabrics and garments from being torn or stretched out in the washing machine. It will also limit microfibre leakage in the washing process, which means preventing microplastics from entering into rivers and oceans.
Baum und Pferdgarten was established in Copenhagen in 1999 by Rikke Baumgarten & Helle Hestehave, who had just graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Design.
