I would buy the 24 but I didn't realize the knee shows through. I thought it was just a patched look, not an actual hole. Plus, I didn't see the other areas where it is distressed. I thought it was only around the knee. If you like that, these are soft. Just make sure to size down a size or even a size and a half.
